Actor Tom Holland has decided to take a break from his creative career. He stated this in an interview with Extra.
The artist decided to take a one-year break after her hard work in the Crowded Room series. Holland will portray the character of Danny Sullivan, who has multiple personality disorder, in the project. According to the artist, the idea of playing the role of a person with a mental disorder “terrified” her, but she accepted because of her interest in mental health.
“I thought it was time to tell a story about mental health and trauma. And it really resonated with me to explain to some people how crazy that can be and how powerful your mind is – it can work for good and maybe even harm –,” Holland admitted.
Shooting in the series was given to the actress quite difficult, so she decided to temporarily stop filming in the movie. “I’m not used to working hard. I’ve always lived with the idea that hard work is good work. I really liked it, but still the show broke me,” she said.
The first season of the anthology series The Crowded Room is based on Daniel Keyes’ book The Curious Case of Billy Milligan. Episodes will air on Apple TV+ on June 9th.
