Director, writer and actor Vladimir Meerzon died just three days before his 98th birthday. It has been reported IA Regnum.

According to the publication, Meyerzon’s health deteriorated significantly shortly before his death. It is noted that the director’s death occurred on June 5 from natural causes.

Vladimir Meyerzon was born on June 8, 1925. The director’s father is the Soviet surgeon Yakov Meerzon. At the age of 16, the future writer went to the front where he was wounded. He was in shock, but completely through the war.

After the war, Meerzon graduated from the Shchukin Theater School, and then got a job in the editorial office of children’s programs on the central television of the USSR. The actress is known as one of the authors of the program “Good night guys”. Together with his wife Nina Zubareva, he led the project – Meyerzon’s wife was the director, and her husband wrote the scripts for the episodes of the program. It was noted that Meerzon was the one who came up with the basic concept of “Good night guys” while wrapping around the couple.

Throughout his creative career, the artist has written many stories for children and scripts for children’s television shows.
