Black Mirror science fiction writer Charlie Brooker said he tried to write an anthology episode using artificial intelligence (AI). However, the result disappointed him. Brooker told the broadcast empire.
“I wrote: “Create a chapter for Black Mirror. AI has done something that seems plausible at first glance, but pointless at second glance. He analyzed summaries of all chapters and put them together. If you dig deeper, the screenwriter might think, “There isn’t a single original thought here.”
Brooker said that AI is like a parodist trying to imitate something that a person has already created. However, the experience of writing a script with the help of technology turned out to be useful for the screenwriter – he realized that he should not try to imitate himself, and already created episodes.
Black Mirror season six will premiere on Netflix on June 15.
