The rock festival “Invasion”, which was supposed to be held on August 4-6 in the Kaluga region, was postponed to 2024, declaration Regional governor Vladislav Shapsha. According to him, the incident causes controversy among the local population.

He added that at a recent meeting of the working group, he had instructed to prepare a detailed report on the readiness to hold a large-scale festival, taking into account the views of the residents.

“The decision is extremely difficult for us, both emotionally and financially. We did a great job in the preparation of the festival, in the selection and preparation of the new place. Not only the time of the festival, but also the venue will change. So it was planned to be built near the village of Mityaevo in the Borovsky district of the Kaluga region, but in 2024 near the village of Aristovo in the same district.
More than 100 bands were supposed to perform at the festival this year, including Chaif, Alisa, Aria, Lumen, Chizh & Co, 25/17 and Zhuki. In 2021, the organizers postponed the festival again to 2022. “The dynamics of the increase in incidence is such that Rospotrebnadzor for the Moscow Region decided on the impossibility of holding an “Invasion” in July-August 2021,” the organizers said.
In 2022, the festival was postponed to the summer of 2023 without any explanation.

In 2019, the festival was held in a traditional place – in the village of Bolshoi Zavidovo, Tver region, Konakovo region.
Musicians who could not perform in Russia at this time performed on stage – some were recognized as foreign agents, some condemned the military operation in Ukraine.
