French businessman Philippe Pozzo di Borgo, known as the prototype of the main character of the movie 1+1, died at the age of 72. newspaper reports Le Monderefers to the directors of this picture, Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakasha.
According to them, the businessman died on June 1 in Marrakech.

The businessman came from a noble Corsican noble family. In 1993, the entrepreneur had an accident while paragliding, as a result of which he was paralyzed.
The French movie 1+1 was based on the story of Pozzo di Borgo and his Algerian aide, Abdel Sellou, a former prisoner who helped him come back to life. This movie was released in 2011. It was a huge success both in France and abroad, grossing over $400 million worldwide.
