It was noted that the Yekaterinburg mayor’s office called on Koki representatives to make the singer one of the faces of the city’s 300th anniversary. The star’s manager decided that this was another commercial project and demanded a fee of 3 million rubles from the city administration. Later, the press service of the Black Star label contacted the mayor of Yekaterinburg to resolve the dispute.
Black Star representatives submitted free images of Coca for billboards in honor of the city’s anniversary. The Yekaterinburg administration confirmed that there was a misunderstanding. As a result, Klava Koka will be the face of the city’s 300th anniversary campaign.
Also on the list are singer Niletto, playwright Nikolai Kolyada, hockey player Pavel Datsyuk, Chaif group, cosmonauts Sergei Prokopiev, comedians Andrei Rozhkov and Vyacheslav Myasnikov, director Alexei Fedorchenko, volleyball coach Nikolai Karpol.
Previously Pavel Kuryanov, CEO of the Black Star music company, admitted that Klava Koka suffered from star sickness during a period of sharp creative upswing.
