Jenna Tokatilan, a 25-year-old fan of singer Taylor Swift, complained of memory loss after the star’s concert. About how Tocatilan forgot one of Swift’s songs, informs Guard.
“If I didn’t have a five-minute video recorded by a friend of mine jumping into this song, I’d tell everyone that this isn’t the case,” the girl said.
Nicole Booze, 32, another Swift’s fan, described attending the singer’s concert after the show in Philadelphia as “an out-of-body experience that didn’t seem to have happened to her.” Psychologist Ewen McNay of the State University of New York at Albany confirmed that positive emotion loading is similar to stress and can affect memory. She advised fans of Swift and other artists to stay calm.
“Concert goers can try jumping and screaming a little less to control stress,” she said.
