The Moscow City Court on Tuesday detained director Yevgenia Berkovich in a trial in which she accused him of making terrorist propaganda. It has been reported TASS.
The first-instance court’s decision on the selection of Berkovich as a measure of restraint in the form of detention was deemed lawful, the defense’s complaint left unsatisfied.
On May 5, director Yevgenia Berkovich was arrested for two months in a criminal case related to justifying terrorism. The case was opened because of the play “Finist Yasny Sokol”, adapted from the play by the playwright Svetlana Petriychuk, who was also arrested.
The protagonists of the work are Russian women who decided to marry radical Islamists virtually and came to them in Syria. The performance based on the game in 2022 received two Golden Masks.
