On the set of the movie “Burnt by the Sun”, director Nikita Mikhalkov decided, for the sake of a joke, to fake the arson of an official’s cottage. Oksana Khalikova, a specialist at the Kstovo Cinema Museum in the Pushkin Central Library, told about this in a conversation. “Aif”.

“They used a large official’s cabin for the filming of Burnt by the Sun – it was transformed, colored and the patio enlarged. And after filming, another official wanted to buy this cabin. Mikhalkov decided to joke with his friends and told him: “The cottage will be burned. That’s what the script needs.” And the official rushed to the head of the city – they say that we should ask the governor not to do this, ”Khalikova recalled.

The governor also played with the director and told the official that the hut will still be burned, as Mikhalkov wanted. According to an expert from the Kstovo Museum, the filmmaker simulated setting the hut on fire with fireworks and other pyrotechnics.

Previously Mikhalkov called for the Yeltsin Center to be closed because of a cartoon about the history of Russia. According to the director, the first thing children who come to the museum see is a cartoon in which Yeltsin is “the only person who comes and changes the filth, disgust and horror in the country”. Mikhalkov also said that the 90s were not the only good period in the life of the Russian Federation.
