The new comedy series “Movies about bandits” starring Mikhail Porechenkov and Dmitry Nagiyev will be released online on June 15, 2023, the press service of the Premier streaming service reported.
The main characters of the comedy are gangsters who decided to make a “real movie” about their lives. The main character, Le Havre, the leader of an organized crime syndicate from a provincial town, is going to make a movie about his fate together with a grumpy taxi driver Belyash and a security guard from a private security company Kolyan. “Former thugs are acting as usual as they first enter the movie industry, and the actor who was supposed to help them make the movie is taken hostage,” the authors write.
According to director Sergei Malyugov, he immediately saw the potential for “film hooliganism” in the script of the series. “The participation of each artist and all members of the film crew in a non-standard “world of eccentrics” was felt throughout the entire project. That is why the shooting of the project “Films about bandits” took place in mutual love. I think we’re doing something kind, funny, and sincere. It is what we are all missing in this world right now,” Malyugov shared.
