On May 28, the Lenkom Theater hosted the tour “Alexander Abdulov”. The Art of Being a Hero”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the birth of the famous Russian actor. The tour was done by theater director Mark Varshaver, writes TASS.

“Today, many actors are unknown. You even ask about Yevgeny Pavlovich Leonov today – not everyone remembers. And it hasn’t been that long. Why are we holding about Abdulov now [экскурсию]? We remind you who they are, this is the one you should emulate,” Varshaver said.

Deputy Director of Creative Affairs Irina Goryunova added that such trips always resonate with art connoisseurs. According to Goryunova, when such cult artists die, it affects entire generations of audiences, for which these people are idols.

“Lenkom’s huge era is associated with their name and I want it to continue so the audiences know, understand so the younger generation know the era,” he concluded.

Previously actor Ivan Agapov told how Alexander Abdulov was denied the title due to unhealthy popularity.
