To mark the 85th anniversary of the birth of writer Vladislav Krapivin, a street of larch trees was planted in Yekaterinburg. It has been reported TASS.
A total of 85 trees were planted in the Shuvakish forest park to keep Krapivin’s memory alive. Next to the street, the organizers set up a full house with 85 names of the heroes of the author’s stories, novels and novels.
“Thus, trees were planted on the street in honor of Sergei Kakhovsky and Genka the Grasshopper from the novel The Boy with a Sword, Maxim and Tanya from the story Boltik,” the department of information policy of the region said.
Vladislav Krapivin was born on October 14, 1938. After school he entered the Tyumen Pedagogical Institute, where he studied German. In his student years, he began to work in the newspaper Vecherniy Sverdlovsk. He published his first story in Ural Pathfinder magazine in 1960.
In 1962, Krapivin’s first book, Orion’s Flight, was published. Then he published works such as “The Boy with a Sword”, “Crane and Lightning”, “Three from Carronade Square”.
Previously Aeroflot reportedly refused to name one of the planes after Krapivin.
