Rock band Foo Fighters introduced a new studio drummer. Josh Freese is the new member of the team. TO! news.

Freese is a session drummer and performed with the Foo Fighters at their two shows in Los Angeles and London in September 2022. The musician, who played drums in bands such as Devo, Guns N’ Roses, Nine Inch Nails and Weezer in the past years, has also performed with Sting.

The band’s former drummer, Taylor Hawkins, passed away on March 25, 2022, while the Foo Fighters were on their South American tour. Post-mortem tests revealed the presence of opioids, antidepressants and psychotropic substances in the drummer’s body. The musician was 50 years old, he had a wife and three children.

In December 2022, the band announced that they would continue without Hawkins. Formerly Foo Fighters introduced new song “Under You”. Beste became the second single from the album “But Here We Are”, scheduled to be released on June 2. “But Here We Are” is the first Foo Fighters LP made without Hawkins (not counting Dave Grohl’s 1994 debut album, on which he recorded all the tracks).
