TV presenter Lera Kudryavtseva on Instagram (the owner of Meta was considered an extremist and banned in Russia) told how she and singer Irina Dubtsova were treated in the same neuropsychiatric clinic.
“Ira Dubtsova and I were at the neurosis clinic. That was many years ago. Yes, yes, yes, we are mental, so! And it’s okay. And Ira and I went down to the car. And Irina told me: “Now, now, just a second,” said Kudryavtseva.
Kudryavtseva explained that after that Dubtsova drew the words of the song on the hood of the car:

According to Kudryavtseva, Dubtsova wrote for Sergey Lazarev “Surrender!” This is how the song was born.
