According to Variety, Hollywood actor Sean Penn has publicly criticized Hollywood studios for disrespecting the screenwriters.

“The industry has treated creators the way they want, with disregard for their rights for decades. I fully support the Writers Guild strike, and I believe studios’ fears that they might partially replace writers using AI are absolutely justified. This definitely needs to be addressed,” Penn said.
