The Moscow Basmanny Court arrested the Ukrainian television presenter Maria Efrosinina in absentia for spreading fake news about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. TASS pursuant to the decision.
The court declared that Efrosinina was a suspect under Art. Part 2 Paragraph “d”. 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional dissemination of false information about the use of the RF Armed Forces based on political hatred). A restraining order was issued in the form of arrest in absentia for a period of two months from the moment of his detention or extradition to Russia.
The reason for the criminal case against Efrosinia was her posts on the social network Instagram (the owner of Meta was considered an extremist in Russia and was banned).
The journalist was placed on the international wanted list by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Rosfinmonitoring put him on the list of terrorists and extremists.
