The social activist sent a complaint to the Regional Minister of Culture, Tatyana Likhacheva, when asked about Vasily Vakulenko’s attitude towards the Russian special operation in Ukraine, “We are watching another movie.”
In response, the region’s Ministry of Culture reported that matters relating to the organization and prohibition of commercial concerts were not within the jurisdiction of the department. “In the current situation, we consider it important for the residents of the city of Stavropol to display a civilized attitude in attending a concert of an artist whose judgments cause negative evaluation of the public.”
