After that, they got a call from someone with the voice of Benedict Cumberbatch to get a deal to work on the movie. “And Cumberbatch’s voice was 100% consistent with his real voice,” William said.
The company discovered the scam only after Cumberbatch, who bears his name, and his representative refused to meet in person. At first it seemed like a dream had come true: Cumberbatch had apparently read the script for our movie and was interested in discussing the role. “But we were shocked and disappointed to learn that we were the victims of an AI pretending to be a famous actor.”
