Musician Andrey Danilko, known for his image of Verka Serduchka, performed at Eurovision 2023 with the song “Dancing Lasha Tumbai”. mk.ru.

Initially, the composition was called “Dancing Lasha Tumbai”, where Danilko took second place at Eurovision 2007. Before that, the musician in every possible way denied that he sang the phrase “I want to see – farewell to Russia” (“I want to see – Russia, goodbye”) in the chorus. He noted that the original lyrics of “Lasha Tumbai” were changed from Victoria Tsoi’s song “Boshetunmai”, they do not make any sense.

At the same time, at the Eurovision 2023 finals, according to the media, Danilko sang a song with the words “Russia goodbye” during the performance of the former contestants representing Ukraine. Although some Eurovision fans are still sure that Danilko did not say these words.

Eurovision 2023 winner it happened Singer Loreen (Lauryn) from Sweden. Second place went to Finland (rapper Käärijä). Third – Israel (singer Noa Kirel). Ukrainian techno duo Tvorchi finished sixth.
