Netflix cancels Rowan Atkinson’s “The Man vs. the Bee” after its first season PM

Streaming service Netflix has decided to cancel the comedy series “Man vs. the Bee,” starring “Mr. Bean” Rowan Atkinson. The show’s first and only season premiered in June 2022.

Filmed in the “Man Against the Bee” genre of buffoonery, the plot of the project is about the housekeeper Trevor, who gets into a confrontation with an insidious wasp. Their war takes place in a luxury mansion run by Trevor.

The writers of “Man vs. the Bee” were screenwriter William Davis, who worked with Atkinson himself and the “Mr. Bean” star on pictures about agent Johnny English. Davis’ past performances also include the comedy Gemini, Flushed Out!, How to Train Your Dragon, and Puss in Boots with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito. man vs. All nine episodes of the Bee were directed by David Kerr, who previously directed Agent Johnny English 3.0.

According to the What’s on Netflix portal, the trailer for the project was one of the most successful in the history of the service – 15 million views since its release on YouTube.
