French electronic duo Daft Punk, which disbanded in 2021 after a 28-year hiatus, will be performing their previously unreleased song “Infinity Repeating” on Thursday, May 11. This will take place as part of an event at the Paris National Center for Arts and Culture, Georges Pompidou.

The next day, the track will be streamed as part of the 10th anniversary re-release of Daft Punk’s latest album, Random Access Memories. According to The Fader, the Pompidou Center will be able to listen to “Infinity Repeating” in a variety of ways, for example on a sound system with more than 30 speakers or in a separate room where they will be showing a clip for the song.

The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas and his band The Voidz were featured on “Infinity Repeating” (Casablancas also sang on “Instant Crush” on Random Access Memories).

Daft Punk was founded in 1993 in Paris by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. The musicians’ debut album, Homework, was released in 1997. The duo released their fourth and final album, Random Access Memories, in 2013. In 2021, Daft Punk announced the end of its operations.

Previously Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter explained why the two broke up.
