Illustrator and filmmaker from Alicante Arly Jones will give a workshop this Friday. Elche Municipal Library Pedro Ibarrawhere it will explain all the graphics resources it has I learned from the comic book masters and that’s part of his style. There will also be a practical section for those who attend this event, which is part of the exhibition. Part of the playwright’s legacy, the exhibition will be open to the public until 18 June. Alberto Miralles, his family donated their extensive comic book collection to the Elche Municipal Libraries. jones’ workshop It’s free and no registration is required.
Arly Jones – assistant director sami natsheh animation studio flying head and was nominated for the Goya Award for the animated short film Colors– always admitted passionate about comics in general, Europe and America above all, and this influence can be appreciated in his work, which is full of, as he explains, “stolen” resources, which he uses for countless profiles, from advertising illustration to the set design of animated films.
Jones has had various experiences in the world of comics, working for Norma publishing house and Edicions de Ponent, among others. He has also collaborated on animation projects with other Spanish writers such as Miguel Calatayud, Daniel Torres or Javier Mariscal.
