Streaming service Amazon Prime Video has announced that the second season of Good Omens, the fantasy comedy series based on the novel of the same name by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, will premiere on July 28.
According to the official release of the second season, it will be devoted to “stories that go beyond the original” and the angelic angel Aziraphale. (Michael Sheen) and the demon Crowley (David Tennant) faced with an unexpected mystery.
In season two, Jon Hamm reprises his roles as Doon Mackichen and Gloria Obiano, while Miranda Richardson is set to reprise her roles as Maggie Service and Nina Sosanya. Also joining the cast is Liz Carr. (“Silent Witness”) and Shelley Conn (“Bridgertons”).
The new season will consist of six episodes in total.
Good Omens premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2019. In 2021, it was announced that the series would be renewed, although the first season brought the original novel to the screen in its entirety.
