The director of the series “Leave” and “Peace! Friendship! Gum!” Ilya Aksenov described the ability to lie and manipulate as “the most underrated and important skill” for an actor. On her Instagram page (the owner of Meta is recognized as an extremist and banned in Russia), she wrote that these skills should be taught in film schools.
“Many are fed up with the idea of being able to lie and manipulate – I’m a good person. But that doesn’t mean you’ll meet equally good people along the way. A professional player who knows the tools of manipulation will instantly tear the manipulator apart and at the same time not use those skills for selfish and personal purposes. ”, explained Aksenov.
The director emphasized that many “liars and manipulators” often rally around sought-after artists who seek to exploit a person’s position for personal gain.
“The funny thing is that manipulation is essentially the same as an actor’s acting – it’s a believable lie,” the director said.
Ilya Aksenov is a former member of the Sega Mega Drive 16-bit KVN team that plays in the KVN Major League. In 2015, he graduated from VKSR in Feature Film Directing. Among the films and serials shot by Aksyonov are “Relatives”, “Kvnshchiki”, “Drop”, “Peace! Friendship! Gum!” and Filatov.
