Some songs and rapper Scally Milano’s album “159” have been removed from Russian music services. Reported by The Flow portal.
Removed tracks “Swindler”, “Podkoly”, “Speaker x *** and”, “Russian scam” from “Yandex Music” and “VK Music”. The songs are also not available for Apple Music users in Russia.
An appeal to the name of Daniil Dmitriev was published on the Scallygram Telegram channel (previously, the media reported that the real name of Scally Milano is Daniil Slonov).
“I, Daniil Dmitriev, known by the pseudonym Scally Milano, want to declare that my work is not intended to promote or romanticize drug use and violations of the laws of the Russian Federation.
I myself am not a substance abuser, I have not violated the law, all the actions in my songs are creative expression, as you have noticed, ”the publication says.
The call is addressed to representatives of the Safe Internet League and Ekaterina Mizulina and “all involved and representatives of various organisations.” He also says that Dmitriev “recognized his mistakes and is ready to completely reconsider the view of creativity – the vector will be positively directed, inspire good and right actions.”
According to Scally Milano, his team is removing songs that “may contain words or phrases that fall under the concept of breaking the law” (author’s spelling protected).
The publication also includes a call to other Russian artists. “We have to be a role model but with the right values. I encourage all artists to be more responsible. It’s time to change everything for the better, and I want to influence that. I want to prove to the youth of my country that I am ready to engage in useful activities, not verbally but de facto, as I am a kind of guide for them, ”the article reads.
Soon after, Ekaterina Mizulina, president of the Safe Internet League, said that she would give Scally Milano a “chance” (both words in the post are in quotes, the rapper posted a video on his channel with the words “give me a chance” – “socialbites.ca” ).
“I ask law enforcement agencies to heed the artist’s appeal and be more tolerant,” he wrote on his Telegram channel, adding that “people believe in the best.” However, he added that the criminal case has already been started, the investigation into the defamation cases of the RF Armed Forces is ongoing and “it is difficult to turn back time”.
Mizulina also recommended that Scally Milano “apologise to all Russian patriots” for the video “containing calls against a special military operation”.
On April 25, the Mash Telegram channel reported that the rapper allegedly left Russia for Dubai. At the same time, the broadcast does not give the name and surname of the musician, the channel refers to “own information”. The artist himself did not officially announce his departure abroad.
At the same time, the police opened a criminal case under Article 151 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Involving minors in antisocial acts.”
The persons involved in the crime are identified. The maximum penalty under the article is imprisonment for up to four years.
The channel also reported that the police took several drunk teenagers from the Scally Milano concert to the police station. Mikhail Romanov, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Control and Regulation, asked the chairman of the RF Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, to personally supervise the verification of violations noticed by “angry parents” at the concert.
The deputy said that age restrictions for concert visitors were violated, in addition, the rapper’s texts promoted drugs and publicly made anti-war statements. According to Romanov, young people aged 12-14 could attend the concert, which was intended for audiences over 16 years old.
“The artist encouraged the young audience to support obscene anti-state slogans,” the claim says.
A member of the United Russia faction also expressed the view that Scally Milano and its producers had deliberately compiled the show’s schedule and script “based on a young and youthful audience sensitive to radical protests and drug tolerance”.
“Such incidents damage the future of the country. Russians do not want their children to love drugs and hate their homeland. All parents wish their children the opposite. We all want our children to be healthy, live happily ever after in their own country, so that they love their Motherland and not hate it because of the prohibition of deadly drugs. Unfortunately, this young rapper creates exactly such dangerous and negative content and opens up an alternative life path to our youth, as it seems to him: protest – drugs – death. This path separates young people from their families, from their homeland, from normal human life. Against the Russian army “Parents, keep your children away from the music so to speak,” the parliamentarian was enraged.
