The Presnensky Court of Moscow recognized the seizure of funds in the accounts of blogger Elena Blinovskaya and her husband as legal. Reported by TASS.
Hundreds of millions of rubles were arrested from the spouses’ accounts as part of the interim measures of the investigation – the exact amount was not specified. This decision was taken as part of a lawsuit regarding non-payment of taxes of about 1 billion rubles.
It was recorded that Blinovskaya and her husband have accounts in JSC Russian Ziraat Bank, JSC Alfa-Bank, JSC Severgazbank, JSCB Fora-Bank and PJSC MTS Bank. The seized funds were held in “different currencies”.
“As part of the investigation of the criminal case against Elena Blinovskaya, law enforcement officers identified and arrested four bank accounts belonging to the defendants, as well as two accounts of Alexei Blinovsky opened in two capital banks.” clarified representatives of law enforcement agencies.
On April 27, Blinovskaya was detained while trying to cross the border with Belarus in a rented car. According to researchers, the blogger had a tax liability of 918 million rubles for 2019-2021. Blinovskaya admitted her guilt. He is currently under house arrest.
