The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine opposed the Festival of Slavic peoples Arsmondo Slave Festival in Strasbourg. The agency announced this on its Telegram channel.
It was noted that Ukraine found the performance of Ukrainians, Russians and Belarusians on the same stage as “inappropriate”. They also accused the organizers of “repeating narratives of Russian propaganda that are compatible with the idea of the ‘Russian world’”.
“We are also paying attention to the Ukrainian participants of the festival, and they seem to support such a narrative,” the message says.
As part of the Arsmondo festival, a traditional Ukrainian music concert, the late director Mantas Kvedaravichyus’ documentary film “Mariupoli 2” and much more will be screened on April 22.
