British post-punk master and lead singer of The Pop Group, Mark Stewart, has died at the age of 62. Cause of death not reported Guard.

Mark Stewart was born in 1960 in Bristol, England. In 1977, with his friends, he created the Pop Group, whose debut album “Y” is considered a cult in the post-punk movement. In the 1980s the band broke up due to internal disagreements and Stewart joined the New Age Steppers. Stewart also did concept art and collaborated with artist Rupert Goldsworthy on I Am the Law in 2012. His discography includes 9 solo albums.
