A trailer for the series “Ballet” has been released on YouTube – the psychological drama directed by Evgeny Sangadzhiev will be released on the Wink streaming platform on May 18.
The plot tells about the former principal ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater Ruta Myers. He left Russia 40 years ago and became a successful choreographer, but Myers decides to return to the country to stage a contemporary play at the invitation of a new theater director.
The “Ballet” series will consist of eight episodes and will tell the behind-the-scenes of professional ballet. Instead of Ingeborga Dapkunaite, the main role was played by the choreographer Alina Sigalova, Fyodor Bondarchuk, Maria Fomina, Daniel Barnes, Pyotr Raikov, Irina Apeksimova, Liza Yankovskaya, Artur Beschastny, Polina Agureeva and other artists.
