Dmitry Krasnov, artistic director of the Tula Academic Drama Theater named after Maxim Gorky, died on April 17 at the age of 56. It has been reported TASS referring to the theater representative.
“Dmitry Krasnov died today, he was 55 years old,” they said in the theater.
The artist was born on January 5, 1968 in Kazan. In 1993, Krasnov studied at the Gnessin State Musical College as a musical theater actor. Ten years later he received a directing degree from the Shchukin Higher Theater School.
Krasnov has been working at the Tula Drama Theater since 1997, moving up the career ladder from artist to artistic director (he received his last post in 2018). The director has won the Triumph theater competition seven times since 2004.
For his achievements, Krasnov was awarded the gratitude of the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, a letter of thanks from the governor of the Tula region, the Tula region medal “For Labor Courage III degree” and other awards.
