The Socksless Clown Trio chose their favorite drama films for International Circus Day. The comedy movie channel shared the results of the survey with socialbites.ca.
Members of the trio Artem Babinov, Konstantin Kopeikin and Maxim Karpov admitted that they love dramas, science fiction and cartoons, despite the work on humor. Favorites included the tapes “Schindler’s List”, “Avatar: The Way of Water” and “Finding Dory”.
Kopeikin also named the painting “Burnt by the Sun” as one of his favourites. “It seems to me that this film has remained immortal for Russian cinema. The mood of that time is conveyed so strongly that I shudder.”
Karpov admitted that the film “Old Nags” by Eldar Ryazanov is his favorite drama. The artist noted that in the cinema the genre of tragicomedy is closest to him. “When I was growing up, I perceived this movie not as a comedy, but as a drama, a tragicomedy. This is the strength of our cinema in general. It’s an ideal breed for crying and laughing,” says Karpov.
The Oscar-winning movie Where Dreams May Come, starring Robin Williams, is Babinov’s favorite drama. According to him, the film “teaches love, commitment and trust in one another.” The artist said that the animation project “Finding Dory” made him cry. “The moment Dory found her parents, I had a tantrum. I was overwhelmed by emotions, tears flowed in a stream. I don’t know why, but that moment hit incredibly hard,” he admitted.
