The first trailer for the mini-series “The Continental” based on the universe of the action movie “John Wick” has been released on the Peacock streaming service.
Continental takes place in the 1970s, 40 years before the events of the original John Wick. The protagonist of the three-part series, which lasted for an hour and a half, will be the young Winston (Colin Woodell), who must find a common language with the murderous community and become the manager of a large hotel. The series will premiere in September 2023.
Previously Lionsgate studio chief Joe Drake has announced that a John Wick spin-off starring Ana de Armas will air in the summer or spring of 2024. He also stressed that he does not intend to refuse cooperation with Keanu Reeves after the release of the fourth episode of the action movie. What’s more, The Continental series of the John Wick franchise could hit the screens this fall as “the episodes are almost done.”
Ballerina is directed by Len Wiseman, best known for Underworld and Die Hard 4.0. In addition to Ana de Armas and Reeves, all three films about John Wick will feature Ian McShane, who plays the hotel owner for New York Continental hitmen Winston Scott.
