Klim Shipenko says Peresild has “looked ten years younger” after flying into space

In conversation with director Klim Shipenko teleprogramma.pro admitted that he wanted to see more Russian women in space.

The cinematographer stated that Yulia Peresild looked amazing during the filming of “The Challenge” on the space station. “Women in space look beautiful. For example Julia here is definitely ten years younger! That’s why men should love women in space,” Shipenko said.

The director admitted that he is grateful to cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov for his support during the production of the project. Anton, Yulia and I are a team, a team, people who have been through a lot together, supporting and helping each other. I don’t know how we helped Anton so much, but Anton helped Yulia and me very seriously.”

Shipenko admitted that he never shaved during filming on the ISS. The director noted that he did not waste time on some procedures that take more time in a weightless environment than in the world.

Klim Shipenko’s drama “The Challenge”, about a surgeon who goes to the ISS to save an astronaut (Yulia Peresild), will hit theaters on April 20. Pilot-cosmonaut and hero of Russia Oleg Novitsky starred in one of the roles.
