Actor Michael Lerner has passed away at the age of 81. It has been reported TMZ.

Michael Lerner was born in New York to a Romanian Jewish family. Initially, the actress planned to study and work as a professor of English, but after studying at Brooklyn College, she entered the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Lerner later moved to Los Angeles and began acting in films.
Throughout his acting career, Lerner was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Barton Fink. The actor is also known for his role in Godzilla, where he plays Mayor Ebert. Lerner took part in film projects such as Streets of San Francisco, The Postman Always Rings Twice, Elf, Serious Man, Snow White: Revenge of the Dwarves, X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Michael Lerner has a brother named Ken, who has also acted in movies.
