According to Variety, a TV series will be made about The Pirate Bay, the world’s biggest torrent tracker.

The show will be produced by the film studio B-Reel Films, which on its behalf is the creator of the author’s hit Ari Aster “Solstice” and the Swedish crime drama “Before We Die.”

The six-part project will track content uploaded to the torrent database without the consent of copyright holders, keeping track of the torrent’s creation history and popularity.

It was stated that the main characters of the series will be the three founders of The Pirate Bay, Peter Sunde, Fredrik Neye and Gottfried Schwartholm.

The script will be written by Piotr Marchiniak (Incognito) and Patrick Güllström (Sven Gjerson of Agatha Christie). Jens Sjögren (I Am Zlatan) will direct the series. The shooting of the project will begin in the fall of 2023.

In June 2015, Roskomnadzor added two domains of The Pirate Bay torrent tracker to its registration of banned sites.
