Singer Christina Aguilera admitted that she still suffers from childhood trauma as part of the Call Your Father podcast.

“I felt very compassionate towards my mother when she saw that someone—someone you love—was hurt. <…> I am 42 years old and still suffer from it. Below the surface. Trauma never leaves you, you just find ways to heal it,” Aguilera said.

The artist emphasized that he saw his father beating his mother frequently. According to the star, these memories are clearly etched into her memory, so she can now react extremely violently to, for example, a domestic violence scene in a movie. Aguilera admitted that she tried to minimize the negative impact of trauma by speaking publicly about domestic violence. The artist noted that her heart was “broken” when she realized how many girls had to endure domestic violence out of fear or financial difficulties.

Previously Aguilera talked about the most unusual places she’s had sex.
