Laima Vaikule sang in Russian at a concert in Florence

Latvian People’s Artist Laima Vaikule performed Russian songs in a private concert at Palazzo Portinari Salviati, located in a 15th-century building in Florence. Portal reports Woman.Ru with a link to the social networks of visitors of the event.

According to the published videos, the 69-year-old singer sang the songs “Acapulco” in Russian, “I pray for you” and other songs at the party. The concert also featured one of Vaikule’s main hits, “Vernissage” in a new arrangement.

Shortly before the show, the artist complained of haters who wrote offensive comments to her. In an interview on the YouTube channel “And Gryanul Graham”, Vaikule said that many people advised him to stop speaking Russian, but they themselves wrote with grammatical errors.

“As soon as a person writes a compliment, he writes cleanly and beautifully. Those who write such nonsense are uneducated people! They have no minds, no education!” said Vaikule.

The singer noted that she now lives in Riga. According to Vaikule, this is a wonderful city “without grudges”. He stressed that he cannot invite haters to his home, as such people are not accepted in the city due to their behavior.
