TV channel “Comedy” has compiled a list of the best comedies of the 21st century, reports TASS with a link to the channel’s press release.
Todd Phillips’ The Hangover series tops the list of favorite comedies. Second place went to Wes Anderson’s lyric drama The Grand Budapest Hotel. And the top three were closed by the British horror comedy Shaun the Zombies, directed by Edgar Wright.
Klim Shipenko’s French comedy “1+1” and 2019’s Russian hit “Kholop” also broke into the top five in the ratings.
Also on the list are “Jojo Rabbit” by Taika Waititi, “Borat” by Larry Charles, “Kick-Ass” by Matthew Vaughn and “I’m Losing Weight” by Alexei Nuzhny.
It was clarified that the rating writers are based on reviews, audience ratings and box office revenues of leading world and domestic publications. The list was also created based on data from portals such as Lifehacker, Rolling Stone, IMDb, Kinopoisk, Indiewire, Rottentomatoes, Kinoafisha, film.ru and Film Distributor Bulletin.
