LDPR party deputy Vladimir Koshelev appealed to the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova with a request to extend the Pushkin Card to children of low-income families. TASS.

The parliamentarian wants to provide, starting next year, at the request of parents or legal representatives of the child, the possibility of issuing a Pushkin card for schoolchildren from 7 to 14 years old in low-income families.

He also wanted to provide such an option for all schoolchildren, regardless of their age and financial capabilities of their parents, when creating the federal budget for the next budget period.

“Thanks to the Pushkin Card, schoolchildren and students have more opportunities to participate in certain cultural events, improve their cultural level, escape from social networks and join the art world,” said Koshelev.
