“Harry Potter” star Tom Felton, who plays the role of Draco Malfoy in the series, paid a touching tribute to the memory of his colleague Robbie Coltrane, who played Hagrid on his personal social networks.

In honor of the late actor’s birthday, who will turn 73 on March 30, Felton recalled their experience working together.

“We just wanted to be children: naughty, mischievous and cheerful. Robbie wanted that too. He could make fun of any of us. Maybe he had the mind of an adult and his heart belonged to a child. Robbie always tried to cheer us up and make us laugh,” Felton admitted.

He also talked about Coltrane’s influence on the entire Harry Potter movie franchise.

“I think there would be no Hagrid if Robbie took himself too seriously, forgetting what it means to be kind. There would be no Hagrid. Without Hagrid, there would be no Hogwarts. And no one plays this kind-hearted giant half as well as Robbie Coltrane, my dear friend, whom we miss so much,” Felton summed up.
