Brian “Brizz” Gillis, founding member of LFO, has died aged 47. It has been reported MEAT.

“Every story is made up of chapters. Some develop naturally. You have to engrave some of them in your mind. The first two episodes of the LFO story lost their main characters yesterday,” said vocalist Brad Fischetti. The musician noted that he had “no details” about Gillis’ cause of death, and also noted that LFO’s history became “tragic” after the deaths of several of its musicians.

LFO, short for Lyte Funkie Ones, was founded in 1995 in Massachusetts by Gillis, Fischetti and the late Rich Cronin. The group has sold over 4 million records to date and is known for the hits “Summer Girls” and “Girl On TV”. Gillis left the band in 1999 to pursue a solo career.

Devin Lima later joined LFO. Cronin died in 2010 at the age of 36 after battling leukemia, and eight years later, Lima died at the age of 41 after battling adrenal cancer.
