According to the newspaper’s report, Disney fired Marvel Entertainment president Isaac Perlmutter as part of the company’s campaign to cut costs. New York Times.

Disney is going through major staff cuts to reduce the company’s costs – a campaign was launched on Monday, March 27, to lay off 4% of employees, or about 7,000 people.

It was noted that Perlmutter was fired after Marvel Entertainment, a small division specializing in consumer goods and operating separately from Marvel Studios, was completely disbanded and transferred to other divisions of Disney.

Perlmutter, 80, is known for his fiery temper as well as for actively trying to change the company’s board of directors.
