A monument will be erected in Orenburg to the stars of the group “Tender May”, the founder of the group Sergei Kuznetsov and the soloist Yuri Shatunov. It has been reported DEA News.
The head of the Petin Museum, Yulia Serebryakova, noted that the sculptor Alexander Sukmanov will present a project of the monument, created at the request of friends of the musicians, on March 28, 2023. “Tomorrow we will present the project of the monument to the public at the museum. The author of the project, Alexander Sukmanov, is a well-known sculptor in Orenburg, his great works adorn the streets of the city.”
The monument will represent real-life musicians standing next to each other. Bronze will be cast and installed at the intersection of Chemical and Regeneratornaya streets. “Not far from this place is the orphanage where Shatunov grew up. Near the house where Kuznetsov lives, ”said Serebryakova.
Yuri Shatunov died on June 23, 2022 from acute heart failure. Sergey Kuznetsov passed away on November 7, 2022.
