German actor and journalist Norbert Kuhinke was suspected of spying for the KGB. This was learned from documents obtained by WELT am Sonntag from the archives of the East German secret service. Bild announced this on his Telegram channel.

The 65-page report entitled “Information about the suspicion of the FRG correspondent allegedly working for the KGB of the USSR” stated that Kuhinka had more opportunities to work in the USSR than any other German journalist.

In the early 1970s, Kuhinke worked in Moscow as Der Spiegel’s first correspondent. Also in the early 2000s, St. George Monastery and met with Vladimir Putin.

Norbert Kuhinke passed away on December 4, 2013, after a long illness. Kuhinke is best known in Russia for his role as Danish professor Bill in the movie Autumn Marathon.
