Contemporary art exhibition “The Romance of the Rose”, St. Petersburg, the library and cultural center of the future was opened in the building “NOTA”. The press service of the socialbites.ca exhibition said that the presented art objects grasp the theme of libraries in the language of different materials: sound and architectural installations, experiments with glass, sand, fabrics, neural networks, interactive exhibits, books, etc. Open.

The exhibition “The Romance of the Rose” takes its name from the first bestseller in medieval Europe. The three sections of the exhibition are devoted to different aspects of the past and future of libraries. The first presents the work of contemporary artists with historical counterpoint. The “Space and time” section is devoted to changing libraries over time. In the third part, the guests of the exhibition will be able to see how the image of the reader has been transformed in different historical periods.
