Exhibition opened at the Russian House in Rome to commemorate Rachmaninoff’s 150th anniversary

On March 24, an exhibition dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of composer Sergei Rachmaninoff opened at the Russian House in Rome. TASS.

It was stated that visitors to the exhibition titled “I am a Russian composer” will be able to see rare photographs and posters provided by the Russian National Music Museum. In addition, the guests of the exhibition will have the opportunity to listen to sections from various works of the composer.

“The exhibition, organized with the help of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian House in Rome, is referred to as the composer’s own words. “This exhibition tells many interesting facts about which little was known before,” said Mikhail Bryzgalov, Director General of the RNMM.

He also noted that there are 2,700 items in the fund dedicated to Rachmaninoff’s work.

From April 1, the exhibition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Rachmaninoff will open in 40 cities of Russia.
