Batman cartoonist Michael Reeves dies

Screenwriter and writer Michael Reeves has died at the age of 72. It has been reported multiversitycomics.com.

Reeves died in a Los Angeles hospital on March 20, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was survived by his ex-wife, Brynn Chandler, and their three children.

Reeves started his career in 1973. The screenwriter is known for appearing in animation projects such as Gargoyles, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, The Real Ghostbusters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He also wrote the Star Wars novels Darth Maul. Dark Avenger, Death Star, Backstage Games and The Last Jedi.

The author also edited the scripts for the 1986 animated series My Little Pony and the 90’s Peter Pan and the Pirates.

In 1993, Reeves won an Emmy Award for Best Screenplay for his work on the Batman cartoon.

Previously Director Peter Warner is gone. The cinematographer died at the age of 76 of heart complications after a ruptured aorta. He worked in movies such as Moonlight Detective Agency, Medium, Bull, Grimm, Elementary, Ghost Whisperer.
