Artemy Dragunsky, the author’s granddaughter and nephew of the book’s protagonist, will direct Viktor Dragunsky’s popular children’s book “Deniska’s Tales.” In this respect reported Producer Ghevond Andreasyan (Film Company Enjoy Movies) in an interview with Bulletin of the Movie Distributor.

According to Andreasyan, the producers see magic in this and “decided to give a fairy tale to the fans of the Dragunsky family.” Filming of “Deniska Stories” will begin in August 2023 – then 25 preschool story episodes about Denis will be shot, and a year later the film company will start producing 35 more stories – this time school stories.

The producer noted that due to the recreation in the 60-80s frame, filming would be expensive. In “Deniska’s stories” the action takes place in the city center, in historical places – on Red Square and VDNKh. It is costly and time consuming in terms of licensing,” he said.

Artemy Dragunsky was born and raised in Moscow, graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School, worked as a director and screenwriter in the staging of hundreds of multimedia shows.

Previously reportedThe BBC will shoot Agatha Christie’s novel Killing Is Easy.
