Al Pacino to star in the sequel to Michael Mann’s cult movie “Fight” with Austin Butler

According to World of Reel portal, Al Pacino will star in the sequel to Michael Mann’s cult action movie “Fight.”

The 82-year-old Hollywood actor is ready to reprise his role as police officer Vincent Hannah in the second part of the movie. Plot details have not yet been revealed, but it is known that the sequel will appear both before the events of the first movie and a few years after the events.
The picture will also feature flashbacks recounting the past of Pacino’s protagonists and Robert De Niro, who played the main antagonist in the first “Fight.”

It was previously reported that Oscar nominee Elvis Presley Austin Butler could play the lead role in Fight 2. It is assumed that he will portray the young Chris Sheeherlis on screen, played by Val Kilmer in the original film.

The script will be based on Michael Mann’s novel Heat 2, co-written with Edgar Allan Poe Award winner Meg Gardiner. The book itself was published in August 2022.
