Moscow Museum “#PetrovVodkinLomakin. Element Crimea. As the organizers of the event reported to socialbites.ca, 150 paintings by Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin and his student Maria Lomakina will be exhibited here.

The exhibition was opened with the support of the Russian State Art Gallery. It will last until June 13.

“The interest in the creative legacy of this duo is not accidental. First, the meeting of artists took place a hundred years ago, in 1923, when Maria Lomakina entered the Petrov-Vodkin workshop at the Petrograd Academy of Arts. Secondly, it was interesting for us to compare his views on the revolutionary changes that took place in life, culture and social aspects at the beginning of the 20th century, Vitaly Zotov, Director of the Museum and Exhibition Center of the Russian Art Gallery. .

The exhibition is divided into two parts: the first is portraits, landscapes and sketches on the theme of the family, the second – paintings on the nature of Crimea.
